7:30 PM - 10:00 PMHarry Rapaport:
A Story of Holocaust Tragedies and Survival
Harry Rapaport is a retired court reporter from the U.S. District Court in New York. He was born in a German Displaced Persons Camp in 1946 to two Holocaust survivors. His mom was interned in the Polish Lodz Ghetto, and then in a number of concentration camps, including Auschwitz. His dad escaped from the notorious Treblinka Death Camp. He emotionally imparts their painful history, as well as gives us a glimpse of being a child of Holocaust survivors. Listen to the passion in which he takes us to that horrible time of the systematic annihilation of the Jewish people. Listen and relate his story to current times, when antisemitism runs rampant. It is especially compelling to listen to his view and analysis. His eloquence is highly moving, and those of us who are descended from Holocaust survivors will recognize many of the elements of Harry’s story in their own stories.
